National Park Adventuring this Spring

This spring, Nicholas grabbed his camera and headed for the parks to shoot some supplemental material for our new National Park Suite concert piece. His adventure started after a concert in Alaska, where he was fortunate to capture Denali National Park’s 20,000 ft. mountain namesake. The shot he made now heads up National Park Suite. Then, shortly after another concert, Nicholas revisited some of California’s most beautiful gems: Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Yosemite, and Sequoia. Additional stopovers included Utah’s Zion National Park and Dinosaur National Monument, as well as Glacier National Park in Montana. With a combined month and a half spent on the road, Nicholas gathered a number of new images for the piece, plus some fun stories to share during his upcoming pre-concert talks.

The resulting piece, National Park Suite, premiered this July with the National Symphony at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.
