National Symphony to Premiere “National Park Suite” at Wolf Trap
This July, the National Symphony Orchestra will premiere our newest piece, National Park Suite, at the Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts. NSO at Wolf Trap Festival Conductor Emil De Cou will lead the orchestra in a special concert celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the National Park Service. National Park Suite, our latest visual concerto, is a blend of Dvořák’s beautiful Largo from his New World Symphony with elegantly choreographed imagery from dozens of U.S. National Parks and Monuments. We’re excited and feel honored to be premiering this piece at Wolf Trap, which the NPS proudly describes as “the only national park dedicated to presenting the performing arts.” The park’s beautiful Filene Center holds 7,000 patrons, so it will make for a great 100th birthday party for the National Park Service and its outstanding legacy!
